"Facebook, Twitter, and Yahoo! walk into a bar …"

Well, they didn't walk, but they are all sitting together in a bar anyway. The Meebo Bar has added Yahoo! to the list of services directly accessible in the Meebo Sharing Dock, and users are yodeling with delight.

Sharing to Yahoo! via the Meebo Bar will post content to Yahoo! Updates in Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, and Yahoo.com. With this addition, the Meebo Sharing Dock now hosts the four most active content sharing services in the world: Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!, and email. Not too shabby!

Meebo also released advanced APIs that can prompt the elegant Meebo sharing interface with custom thumbnails, URLs, titles, and descriptions, or even open directly to Facebook and Twitter shares.

These custom sharing features could be used for:
-Custom "Post to Facebook" or "Tweet/Retweet" buttons
-Hotspot sharing from inside flash objects
-Sharing prompt after a sequence of events (new high score, image upload, etc.)

In fact, see the Twitter and Facebook buttons up there? They are both custom buttons powered by the Meebo Bar. Try 'em out!

And for site owners that want to see how the Meebo Bar is being used on their site, the Meebo Dashboard lets partners track and analyze social campaigns in real time. There's nothing quite like instant gratification.
